French language and francophone cultures studies

The Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb offers various courses in French language from a classic BA in French language and literature to an MA in translation. 8 years ago the program of the Department of Romance Studies has added a new component: a readership of French by Wallonia- Brussels International. This readership is supposed to introduce the students to the diversity of Francophone cultures. It supports the courses of French language, Belgian literature, French expression and Francophone civilization (s). It also strives to invest in the cultural life of Zagreb and Croatia in order to spread the Belgian Francophone culture through organizing various cultural events: exhibitions, shows, conferences, etc.
